Just a beautiful day in the North Maine Woods. More than 20 miles at 15 degrees and have not crossed another human track all morning, social distancing at its best. Off on another adventure exploring new and old remote fishing destinations, clearing trails and checking on one of our many stashed canoes. A wise old guide told me once, if you stand still on some of these waters and listen carefully you can hear big wild brook trout finning in the streams. That makes it all worth while. With still more than 30 inches of snow on the ground travel is by snowmobile and snowshoes and its never to early to think fly fishing and this effort often pays in spades. They say spring is coming and we look forward to the change and remember. Its all about the fishing!!!
