Traditions abound here in the North Maine Woods at Chandler lake Camps and Lodge. Not only do we honor the original Tradition of a Maine Sporting Camp we practice many time-honored traditions and bushcraft. One of which is making many things from the bounty of the land.

As we become more accustomed as a society to just buying things in a store much is lost as to how our products come to be. How many times has one bought a canoe paddle and actually thought about the harvest, the tree, and the craftsmanship that goes into putting that paddle in one’s hand?

We carry on the rich Maine Canoe Tradition by making our Maine Canoe Paddles from scratch.
