Hello friends and future guests. We hope that this continues to find you and yours well, healthy and as happy as can be. We are doing our best to take the most pro-active approach to opening for this season possible and we ask that you bare with us during this challenging time. Our updates have not been as often as we would like due to the fact that we are getting new/different information almost daily from the Maine Governors Office and Maine CDC. It has been a challenge!
Thank you for your understanding and patience as we remain pro-active in this very fluid and constantly changing situation. We are monitoring the latest and most recent information being provided by the Maine Governors Office and Maine CDC. Their guidance and instruction in regards to how we may proceed has been changing very fluidly. This has created a situation that is making it very difficult to provide definitive answers for our guests for this month and the month of June.
CURRENTLY: The latest information provided by Maine’s Governor on guidelines for us to open are essentially the following.
* It will be a staged opening of full service for Sporting Camps and Lodges.
First stage: Starting on May 18th we may open for full service (meals, lodging and Guide service) for Maine residents and non residents(who have self quarantined in Maine for 14 days) before their arrival.
We understand the stress and questions about your travel to us that this situation is causing. We regret this more than we can show in words and even though these ever evolving guidelines are completely beyond our control we apologize that we do not have more definitive information as of yet for the rest of the season. Our biggest concern of course is your safety, comfort, health and that of our staff and guides.
At this time the Ice has gone out. We are at camp feverishly working as we always are in Spring preparing all that keeps so many of you returning year after year. We truly can not wait to see all of our returning and new guests alike as soon as possible!
Water temps and levels are reaching optimum conditions, and we do have availability for our fantastic Spring fly fishing for Native Land Locked Salmon and Wild Brook Trout on our remote waters. As always, NO fly outs needed here at Chandler Lake Camps and Lodge, wonderful cabin and Lodge accommodations, 24 hour electricity in your cabins, incredible food, Professional and Knowledgeable Maine Guides and the absolute Best North Maine Woods Sporting Camp experience for all!
Our eternal gratitude to all of you that make this life possible for us here in the North Maine Woods.
