Winter Update – 2022 North Maine Woods

Friends,

Having just returned from our annual show season and our time out of New England has us longing for the palm trees and warm blue water of the last few weeks.

Back in the North Maine Woods and the responsibility of owning a 120 year old set of cabins. It is roof shoveling time for us, snowmobiling in was the plan and we found more than 48 inches of snow and ice to remove from the most vulnerable buildings. Conditions were great with an exciting day and no lack of warmth or sweat. Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall, every season has its beauty and we enjoy all that mother nature has to offer us each and every day at Chandler Lake Camps and Lodge.

We are really looking forward to Spring but assure you for us it is still a ways off. With up to 30 inches of ice on our lakes and more than 12 inches of snow forecast for the weekend. Winter still has its grip on us with at least a month of great snowmobiling ahead. Stay well and safe during these uncertain times and may we all have the people of Ukraine in our prayers.
